I am continually seeking ways to expand my technology knowledge and skills and my integration of technology:

Right now I am taking a graduate technology class to increase my knowledge here. I've also taken other technology courses in the past where I've learned how to create a website and a moodle.

I am currently subscribed to a few educator magazines online and receive the teacher's Mailbox magazine at school.

I have a website that I use with my students and parents at school. I am working on adding an informational blog to the website. I am learning how to use wikis through the graduate class I am taking.

-If the opportunity would come up, I could attend technology conferences to learn more about how to use technology in the classroom.
-I am going to use my google reader account to subscribe to more professional magazines, so I can stay up to date with technology.
2. List ways that you currently utilize or incorporate technology to communicate and collaborate with students, parents or community members. This may include but not be limited to use of any collaborative tools, parent portal tools, web pages, blogs, other web 2.0 tools, LMS, and videoconferencing tools.
I currently use technology to communicate through a class website. Last summer, I created a class website through Yola. With this website, I post monthly newsletters and important information for parents. I recently started adding more resources that students can use to help them with their studies.

-I would like to add a blog to my class website that I could use to keep parents updated on daily activities in the classroom.
-I would also like to try to create a screencast that parents could watch at home explaining how to do something that we would work on throughout the year.
3. List ways you currently organize electronic and digital resources. This could include RSS, social bookmarking sites, web evaluation tools.
The only ways that I currently organize electronic and digital resources are through the favorites tab on the computer and files that I create on my computer. I recently learned how to use and am using an RSS feed, a diigo account, and a delicious account.
3a. List at least 1 action you can take to improve the above area.
I do not know much about organizing electronic and digital resources so I would like to learn more about how to use my diigo and delicious accounts.
